Message Minute (Look Up from the Shallow End)

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." — Romans 1:20

Are you snorkeling in the shallow end of life? That's what we often do—we get so caught up in our routines, social media scrolling, and everyday distractions that we miss the incredible world God created all around us. Imagine children discovering the ocean after only knowing a swimming pool. That's what happens when we finally look up and notice God's creation.

God has filled this world with evidence of His presence—sunsets that explode with color, mountains that tower in majesty, oceans teeming with life. This isn't random chaos; it's intentional design. The Bible tells us that creation itself reveals God's invisible qualities. When we truly look at the world around us, we catch glimpses of God's patience, power, creativity, and extravagance.

Today, take five minutes to step outside. Put away your phone. Look up at the sky or down at the intricate details of a flower. Let yourself be amazed. Don't snorkel in the shallow end when there's a whole ocean of God's glory waiting to be discovered.

Reflection Question: What part of God's creation most amazes you, and what might it be revealing about His character?

Prayer: God, forgive me for missing Your glory that surrounds me every day. Open my eyes to see You in creation. Help me put down my distractions and look up to witness Your fingerprints in the world around me. Thank You for revealing Yourself through what You've made. Amen.
