Message Minute (Your Whole Self as a Gift)

The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, generous inside and out, true from start to finish. - John 1:14 (MSG)

God didn't send a memo from heaven. He moved into the neighborhood. He became flesh and blood, generous inside and out. This Christmas, remember, it's not just about what God gave to us, it's also about what He wants to receive from us.

He gave His Son. What He wants in response is you. Not a better version of you. Not a future version after you get it together. The actual you that exists right now, with all your baggage and brokenness and doubts. That's the exchange God is offering, and it's not a transaction, it's an invitation to intimacy.

The only gift you can give God that's truly yours to give is yourself. Your real self. Practice His presence throughout your day. Include Him in your commute, your frustrations, your mundane moments. Make your whole life a conversation with Him. Stop waiting for "prayer time" to connect. That's what it means to be a living sacrifice—a daily, moment-by-moment choice to let God into your actual life.

Reflection: What would change if you included God in every part of your day this week?

Pray: Jesus, this Christmas I give You the gift of me—my whole self. Thank You for wanting closeness with me. Help me live in constant conversation with You. Amen.
